In memory of my mother, Lea Argiris, last fall, I launched the 1st Sustainable Artist Competition.
Lea’s talents as an artist-Lea’s talents as an artist- a model ( yes, that’s my mom in the logo!) a chef and a gardener- were enormous and yet she was never able to sustain her creativity in a way that gave her the rudder she needed to live a happy, successful, meaningful, creative life. In her honor, I asked the artists who entered our competition to incorporate the beautiful designer clothes she left behind in the art they will created for this competition.
Over $100,000 worth of designer clothes were offered as materials to utilize in the development of participants artwork. Items include jackets, pants, skirts, belts and scarves from designers that include: Gucci, DKNY, Channel, Christian Dior, Valentino, Yves Saint Lauren and more.
Beginning Monday May 2nd through Monday May 9th all of the art work created will be auctioned off on Ebay at our
NEW IAE Scholarship Fund Store
1/2 of the proceeds will go directly back to the artists who participated and the other 1/2 will be donated to our IAE scholarship fund. Please share this email with others. We need your support!
