The culture of open space creativity- a look inside Noisebridge

Noisebridge describes themselves as “Inspired in part by the open source movement where people congregate to share ideas, make cool projects, teach, and brainstorm with collaborators on everything from coding to cooking.” With no leaders, they have one rule: “Be excellent to each other.” Take a tour of the hackerspace Noisebridge, located in the heart of San Francisco’s Mission District, with co-founder Mitch Altman.

Our hacker/maker space, IAEOU, will exist at the crossroads of art, science, technology, entrepreneurship and social good. I can’t wait to see what our members create.  Our space will have a theater/dance/music rehearsal space, fashion/sewing/knitting room, dedicated woodworking room, shared social work space, private work space, and a shared kitchen and classroom.

If you live in Chicago we have an informational meeting open to potential members this Saturday May 12th at 5pm @ the IAE  (Institute for Arts Entrepreneurship) 2257 N Lincoln Avenue Chicago on the 2nd floor. If you wish to attend please email nicoleiadt@gmail.com- space is limited.
